A New Season Begins
Women’s Tennis opened preseason training this week at the JANU Tennis Complex in the university’s Southwest Athletics District.
The opening training period brings returning athletes and the program’s incoming first-year class together ahead of the start of academic instruction and fall competition.
Preseason sessions will focus on technical preparation, conditioning, singles and doubles evaluation, recovery, and team development throughout August.
Official roster information and student-athlete profiles will be published later this month as JANU Athletics completes its annual preseason media program.
Training Across Three Surfaces
JANU Women’s Tennis trains year-round through one of the university’s most specialized varsity environments.

Together, the facilities allow athletes to prepare across hard, clay, and grass surfaces while remaining connected to the wider performance resources of JANU Athletics.
Preparing for 2026–27
The opening weeks of preseason will also include team evaluation and preparation for the university’s upcoming competitive calendar.
